Spring Loaded Overshot

The Spring-Loaded Overshot is designed to run and retrieve the WLTC Retrievable Bridge Plug. A force of several hundred pounds (varies with size) is required to install the overshot onto the bridge plug. After the plug is run to the desired location and set, the tubing string can be released from the plug by holding left-hand torque in the down position and picking up. Cutting teeth are provided on the washover shoe of the overshot to help cut through sand and debris.

Retrieval of the WLTC Retrievable Bridge Plug is accomplished by lowering the tubing string until the overshot contacts the plug. A spring inside the overshot helps prevent inadvertent separation by holding the retrieving lugs on the bridge plug down in the J-slots.
